South Mountain Winery is located up in an orchard off South Mountain Road in Santa Paula, California. We are completely solar powered and source our water from a well. The Winery building itself is made from adobe brick, 14 inches thick, that provides great insulation for the cellar. Here at South Mountain Winery, we produce our wines in an artisanal manner, gently fermenting, then watching them carefully as they finish in barrel. Winemaker Bruce Freeman believes in letting the grape tell its story of flavor and terroir.

Up the hill, is our estate vineyard growing: Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Grenache, Syrah, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Carignon, and Mouvedre. This vineyard is maintained in as close to an organic manner as possible, using no pesticides, and continues to produce award winning wines.
